Supply takes place completely ready to be installed.
The MASTER-SEAL modular seal consists of individual sealing modules, each containing a rubber element, two moulded plastic parts and a screw with nut.
The screws and nuts are available in V2A material or in a galvanised version.
Required tooling:
Cleaning material, possibly PROTECT EP resin, measuring tool, torque wrench.
Before installing the MASTER-SEAL modular seal, the inside of the core drill hole and the outside of the gas, water, sewage pipes as well as the cables have to be cleaned.
The medium pipes / cables must be dimensionally stable in the sealing area and must not be damaged.
When installing a MASTER-SEAL modular seal in a core drill hole,
the inside of the core drill hole has to be preserved with an epoxy
resin (PROTECT EP resin).
The preservation serves to obtain a smooth surface and also as
protection of the cut reinforcement steels against corrosion.
The MASTER-SEAL modular seal is supplied as an open chain.
To close the chain, the last connecting screw must be loosened and removed.
To do this, loosen the plastic part with the nut from the screw and then pull the screw completely out of the rubber.
Push the two rubber ends into each other.
Insert the screw through the holes in both rubber ends to fix the closed chain.
After the plastic part has been reassembled with the nut, the
MASTER-SEAL modular seal is ready for installation.
Push the MASTER-SEAL modular seal over the medium pipe, insert both into the preserved core drill hole and position the MASTER-SEAL modular seal appropriately.
The MASTER-SEAL modular seal must be installed as close as possible to the outside of the wall ( earth-side, water-side).
Take care that the nuts can be controlled and retightened later.
The nuts have to be placed on the air-side.
Tighten the screws clockwise one after the other with a torque wrench.
This procedure must be repeated several times until the specified maximum torque is reached.
This procedure guarantees uniform pressing of the rubber parts against the walls.
The torque must be checked after approx. 2 hours, after the first release of tension on the rubber parts, and if necessary the screws must be retightened.

When using a MASTER-SEAL modular seal in combination with an existing installation, the "open" modular seal is placed around the existing medium pipe and closed as described at the beginning.
Proceed as shown above.
